If you want to take the train to Leavenworth, according to Amtrak reservations:  A passenger may bring a pair of skis or a snowboard on board.
They do not count in the two bag carry on limit.  Ski's and snowboard must be in a ski or snowboard bag.  They will be stowed in exterior lockers on lower level of the train.

Stevens Pass and Mission Ridge Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding Package Rates

Ski packages at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Icicle Inn include lodging (up to 4 guests in a room) and breakfast at the Icicle Inn, and 2 lift tickets for Stevens Pass or Mission Ridge. Adult lift ticket vouchers (ages 13+) also include a $4.00 off coupon for youth lift ticket (ages 7-12) purchased at the mountain.

Ski packages at the Aspen Suites Condominiums include overnight stay, a hot breakfast buffet at the Icicle Inn with hot Belgian Waffles and Biscuits and Gravy, and skiing at either Mission Ridge or Stevens Pass Resort.  These packages are nightly rates for two bedroom condominiums.  Tickets are available for a discounted price for all condominiums.

Dog Sledding Package - 2011 -2012

This year Dog Sledding should be available as soon as there is enough snow in December.  They are open weekends in December as well as the last two weeks of the month.

In January there are some weekends where they will be at races.  So far it does look like they are open Martin Luther King weekend.

Ski Jumping

Ski jumping is up and running on the "D" hill, behind the lodge at the Leavenworth Ski Hill this winter. Kjell Bakke and his volunteers are out every Wednesday and Friday night from 6-8:30pm and every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Skiers of all ages are encouraged to come out and give jumping a try. You need not have special gear, just your alpine or telemark skis and boots, plus a helmet. Coaches are on hand to instruct.

Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding at Ski Hill
Just north of town on Wenatchee National Forest property, the Leavenworth Ski Hill offers downhill skiing on two groomed hills serviced by rope tows. It is open four days a week (three of which include night skiing) and all school holidays. Food, beverages and warmth are available at the historic Ski Hill Lodge. Alpine daily passes cost $8.00 for skiers age 6 to 64; seniors ski for free and children age five and under ski free on the Bunny Hill. Alpine memberships includes a season pass at the Ski Hill, Skier News and voting rights. Combined memberships include season passes for both Nordic and alpine skiing. All members are encouraged to attend meetings and volunteer at the Ski Hill.

Rentals for Leavenworth Ski Hill may be arranged at Osprey Rafting Company and The Ski Shop at Osprey across the street from the Icicle Junction.
