Nov. 28 - 30 – CHRISTKINDLMARKT
Leavenworth’s Annual Bavarian style Christmas market for the whole family offering craft and food vendor booths, continuous entertainment, and lantern decorating for children. Welcoming ceremony and lantern parade Friday and Saturday evenings. Children's activities also at the Grange Hall. Sponsored by Projekt Bayern.

Dec. 5-7, 12-14, 19-21 CHRISTMAS LIGHTING FESTIVAL
Visitors come back year after year for this famous Leavenworth festival. Fridays the town is in darkness awaiting Saturday's Lighting Festivities. Everyone gathers at the gazebo at dusk to greet Saint Nicholas. On Saturday and Sunday enjoy roasting chestnuts, holiday music from the gazebo while youngsters sled in the park; holiday personalities stroll the street. Sleigh rides are minutes away. At dusk everyone gathers to sing "Silent Night" and witness the lighting of the village and park and they are transformed into a magic wonderland of lights. Last December the Travel Channel and Home and Garden TV came to feature our 2007 festival and it will air in 2008.

Dec. 6 & 13th CHILI FEED
Homemade chili and soup--all you can eat. Featuring chili with all the toppings including grated cheese, sour cream, onions, with corn bread, coffee and dessert.

Nov. 30- Dec. 2; Dec. 7 – 9 & 14 – 16 – CHRISTMAS LIGHTING FESTIVAL EXPANDS TO SUNDAY
Visitors come back year after year for this famous Leavenworth festival. Fridays the town is in darkness awaiting Saturday’s Lighting festivities – everyone gathers at the Gazebo to greet Saint Nicholas. Dec. 1,8,15 Starlight Lantern Parade
6-6:30 pre lantern parade show with Christmas carols. Children carry their lanterns to the Festhalle following the wise men and the star. Living Nativity—6:50 pm at the Festhalle featuring all the characters from the Bethlehem stable scene and live animals—goats, donkey, chickens. Cookies and cocoa are served at 7:15. Lantern can be made during the day. For those less creative lanterns can be purchased.
