Leavenworth Winter Sports Club (LWSC) grooms 26 kilometers of trails (classic and skating) at four locations in the beautiful Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington. Five kilometers are lighted every night for skiing. At the Leavenworth Ski Hill they offer downhill skiing, snowboarding and a jumping facility. Nordic Conditions

Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding at Ski Hill
Just north of town on Wenatchee National Forest property, the Leavenworth Ski Hill offers downhill skiing on two groomed hills serviced by rope tows. It is open four days a week (three of which include night skiing) and all school holidays. Food, beverages and warmth are available at the historic Ski Hill Lodge. Alpine daily passes cost $10.00 for skiers age 5 to 69; seniors ski for free and children age four and under ski free on the Bunny Hill. Rentals for Leavenworth Ski Hill may be arranged at Osprey Rafting Company and The Ski Shop at Osprey across the street from the Icicle Junction.

Highway Advisory
In cooperation with the Washington Department of Transportation, Stevens Pass has installed a Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) at the summit of Stevens Pass. By tuning to 1610 AM on your radio, you'll be able to get the latest information on parking availability and road conditions as you approach the mountain. This service is in addition to parking updates on the current HAR radio at 1610 AM in Monroe, the snow report phone lines, our web site and the electronic sign at the Mountain View Chevron east of Sultan on Highway 2.

Leavenworth Ski Jumping
Ski jumping is up and running on the "D" hill, behind the lodge at the
Leavenworth Ski Hill this winter. Skiers of all ages are
encouraged to come out and give jumping a try. Coaches are on hand,
by appointment, to instruct. Jumping skis, boots and
helmet are required.

Jan. Saturdays & Sundays - Event, WINTER LIFE SNOWSHOE TOURS
Explore winter wildlife tours on a snowshoe walking tour with trained naturalists Saturdays and Sundays in January at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. Meet at the Icicle River Ski Trail ticket booth. A different wildlife story is told on each tour. Learn to identify animal tracks and learn how local animals survive in the winter along Icicle Creek.
Space limited to 12 people. Must be at least 8 years old. Snowshoes provided for adults and children. Wear warm layered clothing. Tours 10 a.m. to noon.
